Little Taller: How has your role evolved over the past year, and what new skills or responsibilities have you taken on?

Blas: I’ve dedicated the past year to a profound professional update, focusing on the adoption of cutting-edge frontend development trends. The integration of modern frameworks like JS Frameworks has been crucial, significantly expanding my skill set to build high-performance user interfaces and scalable, efficient web architectures.

The integration of Artificial Intelligence tools has been the biggest catalyst for optimizing my daily workflow, directly impacting the reduction of delivery times, particularly for simpler projects. Consequently, I’ve focused on "Vibe Coding", which involves strategically mastering and leveraging the diverse AI-powered development options available to maximize productivity.

Little Taller: What project or client engagement from the past year stands out as your favorite, and why did it resonate with you?

Blas: Over the last year, I’ve demonstrated significant versatility by developing applications using both no-code methods, specifically with leading WordPress plugins like Elementor and Divi, and 100% custom code. This experience includes working with modern frameworks, which has given me the opportunity to refine my skills and catch up with the latest trends in advanced web development.

Little Taller: Share a challenge you faced this year and how you overcame it. What did you learn from that experience?

Blas: Over the past year, I took part in the development of a complex application built with Tailwind and Vue. While I had prior experience with Vue, this specific project demanded a significantly higher level of technical expertise and structural understanding. Before starting, I focused on in-depth research into the latest framework versions and conducted a series of proof-of-concept tests to robustly integrate the entire stack within another Technologies.

Once the architecture was defined, my strategy focused on intelligently leveraging AI tools like Gemini and GitHub Copilot. It's crucial to stress that my approach was to seek guidance and virtual mentoring, rather than asking the AI to generate complete code blocks. I used these tools to get detailed structural suggestions on how to design and build specific components that would meet the client's exact requirements. This involved utilizing Gemini's Gems features and creating detailed instructions.md and prompts within Copilot. This method resulted in significantly cleaner and faster development, reducing what would have been weeks of independent work into just a few days.

Little Taller: Little Taller places a big emphasis on ownership and orchestration. How have you seen this reflected in your daily work and how has it impacted your work output this year?

Blas: Fluid and effective communication with Project Managers (PMs) and responsible staff has been a fundamental pillar in my daily operations. This interaction is crucial not only for resolving doubts or concerns that arise during the execution of each task but also for ensuring constant feedback on the progress and completion of work. Personally, I find this aspect to be vital within any collaborative setting, as it fosters a pleasant and positive work environment. Such an atmosphere has a direct and undeniable impact on the overall quality of the work delivered and the team's efficiency.

Little Taller: Looking ahead, what aspects of your professional life are you most excited about developing further in the coming year?

Blas: My primary professional goal for the upcoming year is to actively boost my development skills. I plan to achieve this through a constant commitment to updating the technologies I regularly use, ensuring my knowledge remains at the forefront of the industry. Furthermore, I will immerse myself fully in the field of AI-powered web development. I am convinced that a deep and practical understanding of these technologies will be crucial for future success. Therefore, this investment in up-to-date knowledge is not only necessary but a strategic priority for my continuous growth.
