Lead Engineer

As a Lead Engineer, you’ll work closely with ownership and a product manager to deliver long-term product builds. You’ll lead the team of remote engineers, lead scrums, review code, coach and perhaps write a little code.

While we have historically been a Laravel/Vue shop, we do have some Node/React in the works.

The great news: we have a really solid core team of developers who work a team. We have daily standups, we use Slack and Zoom a lot. We meet and work together a lot and we really enjoy it. We do have insight into upcoming work and can schedule it, but deadlines do matter to our project managers and our clients.

This role would be GREAT for an up-and-coming team lead. Never lead a team before but are ready to make the leap? We’re very open to helping you become that leader.

Our team is very interactive, meets on Zoom and chats on Slack. You will need to be conversational in English as our US-based team speaks English only. The rest of the team, however is fluent in Spanish and English. So, that does provide some flexibility for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Gathers, understands and delivers on requirements
  • Negotiates needs for deliverables and then owns the delivery process and outcomes
  • Partners with the Design Team lead and other developers on UAT, standards, etc.
  • Partners with ownership on strategic initiatives
  • Leads the team of engineers that deliver the work
  • Leads process and change
  • Performs code reviews, sets standards for our work style and patterns
  • Encourages growth on the team
  • Partners with ownership on staffing needs and changes

Skills and requirements:

  • Strong software engineering experience, with a focus being on web application development
  • Moderate knowledge and experience with Laravel and Vue
  • Moderate knowledge of the React and related tools
  • Strong knowledge of data structures and database such as MySQL
  • Strong experience with code management and deployment practices
  • Basic understanding and some experience with devops for AWS or similar services
  • Experience with remote teams
  • Solid communication skills
  • Organized and methodical

Nice to have:

  • Experience building on top or adjacent to existing SAAS applications (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Experience with business systems such as Salesforce, Netsuite, HubSpot or similar

THE JOB, IN SHORT:

We are seeking a full-time remote Digital Designer. Our design department has experienced rapid recent growth and, holy smokes, we sure could use another designer. We’re looking for a go-getter to jump in full-time with our existing design team and start getting their hands dirty doing digital design across an array of verticals ASAP.

DESIGN WORKSTREAMS:

  • Social media content
  • Website
  • Digital marketing (email, ebooks, ads, landing pages, etc.)

PRIMARY TASKS AND CAPABILITIES:

  • Concept design around existing brands
  • Production design around existing brands
  • Provide design support across an array of mediums (email, social, site, etc.)
  • Learn and work seamlessly with new brands
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure designs both align with brand and meet usability standards
  • Meet design consistency standards for brand and creative
  • Internal design projects as assigned (e.g. our own sales and marketing efforts)
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and bring new, fresh perspectives to enhance design work
  • Bring a creative yet critical eye to design projects small and large
  • Complete occasional research on design-related projects

Business Development Representative

We are seeking a full-time, remote Business Development Representative. Our company has doubled in size every year and holy smokes we sure could use some help with the sales demand. We’re looking for a go-getter to jump in full-time with our team and help us help our prospects.

PRIMARY TASKS AND CAPABILITIES:

  • Drive new business opportunities to closing (with help, of course)
  • Work with our marketing and software strategy team to define solutions for pending leads
  • Update the status of opportunities in our CRM for reporting and tracking purposes
  • Keep your personal sales pipeline up to date in advance of weekly check-ins
  • Follow up with dozens of sales leads and contacts each day
  • Present proposals to sales targets to get them excited about our marketing and software solutions
  • Stay in close contact with past leads and contacts to keep top-of-mind
  • Help proofread and complete strategic slide decks for pitching new business
  • Translate proposals into ready-to-sign contracts and scopes of work
