Granterra

A Hub of Havasupai Resources

Granterra aims to create accessible opportunities for adventurers of any level to experience the great outdoors. They teamed up with Little Taller to develop the brand and digital experience, as well as merchandise and printed resource guides, for an all-around eye-opening experience.

Granterra is a startup focused on creating and providing resources to hopeful Havasupai Falls adventurers. Little Taller worked with their team on branding, web design and development, and collateral.

Preparing Adventurers for the Falls

Havasupai Falls is a remote travel destination in the Grand Canyon in Arizona’s northern desert, boasting a series of the most beautiful waterfall scenes in the world. Permits from the Havasupai Indian Reservation are required for anyone visiting the campgrounds and waterfalls.

Planning the journey isn’t easy. Permits are hard to come by and you may need to hire help to get your equipment down the canyon, or find lodging the night before. Granterra’s website and mobile app solve the need for common, accessible resources for Havasupai Falls visitors.
When the Covid Pandemic hit, traveling to the Falls was put to a halt. People who had already booked reservations were given the ability to reserve future dates. Granterra added a section to the website to help inform people about the post-Covid permit process and what to expect.
To help expand their outdoor travel services, Granterra introduced paid plans that gave members access to more exclusive resources. To help preserve low-traffic outdoor destinations, some information is only made available to paid members.
Web content includes trips for preparing for the Havasupai Falls journey, like what to pack, trail routes, maps of the numerous waterfalls, cooking suggestions, permitting information, nearby lodging and stores, and more.

Visually-Stunning, Coffee-Table Collateral

In addition to web design and development, Little Taller worked with Granterra to deliver a brand package, custom-illustrated collateral, and outdoor apparel.

Branding was developed to highlight the natural majesty of the Grand Canyon area and the Southwest region, with a bold color palette, fonts, and web styling.
Little Taller designed and produced a coffee-table book that could be used to prepare for the Havasupai Falls excursion, complete with custom watercolor illustrations. This piece presents the trip resources in a tangible and visually-appealing way.
Functional outdoor apparel featuring the Granterra branding was developed and made available for purchase on the website, with styles and fabrics to complement regional weather patterns.
